Day 1

We welcome you at Helsingborg Central station and get on our bus to take you to your first garden visit, Sofiero Castle & Garden. Sofiero is known as the most beautiful park in Sweden and was once created by an English princess, Crown Princess Margareta (1882–1920) and her husband Crown Prince Gustav, later King Gustav VI Adolf.  The Crown Princess was born and raised at the Royal Castle Bagshot Park south of Windsor with parents highly interested in horticulture and garden designed. Crown Princess Margarete made an English garden in her Swedish castle park with lovely garden rooms, herbaceous borders filled with flowers in different colour fields, kitchen gardens, fruit orchards and magical woodland walks. You will be guided in the park and enjoy Afternoon tea before check in at your hotel.

Dinner at hotel.

Day 2

After a delicious breakfast buffet, our bus will take to the north of Skåne to Norrviken Garden. This beautiful garden created in 1925 with seven different style gardens has been recently beautifully renovated. The old garden rooms are still here but you will also find new developments and maybe the most beautiful glasshouse in Sweden. You will have a guided tour of the park before lunch (included) in the beautiful dining room at Villa Abelin. In the afternoon we will drive along Bjäre peninsula and the beautiful natural paradise, Kullaberg, where Mrs. Sylvia Wihlborg has her garden filled with roses & perennials. Sylvia and her husband have been apple and pear growers for many years, and they have a large, beautiful garden in the English style with various rooms. Not far from Sylvia´s garden we will find another farm, Kullberg’s Vineyard, where winemakers have taken Swedish wine to new heights. You will end the day here with a guided tour in the wine fields and some wine tasting.

Dinner at leasure.

Day 3

Today, our bus runs along beautiful roads in the Scanian agricultural landscape towards Kågeröd. The fertile soil has been cultivated for generations and given rich harvests. We will visit Axelvold Manor which is owned and run by the Wachtmeister family. The manor’s landscaped park contains a beautiful shape as well as an interesting history. The rose friend will not be disappointed! After visiting the Manor Garden we will move on to another village with a rich history, Dalby where we will have lunch at the Inn and visit Karolina Brising in her fantastic garden. Karolina works as a garden designer and she also spends a large part of her time in her own garden. The joy for flowers is great and Karolina also grows lots of bulbs, vegetables, roses, trees and shrubs. You are guaranteed to be inspired. You will get some refreshments before going back to the hotel.

Day 4

After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, we make a morning visit to Fredriksdal Open-air Museum & Gardens in the middle of central Helsingborg. Here you get to experience the old Scanian countryside with its green fields, animals and orchards. We walk in the landscape park and in the Rosary with hundreds of different varieties of roses. Your guide Christina, who has many years of experience with roses, guides you among fragrant roses for your particular garden! We also pay a visit to the rose nursery Flora Linnea with the Nordic region’s largest assortment of roses and also a nice gift and garden shop. Closing lunch at Fredriksdal Garden Café.
