The Swedish garden architect Rudolf Abelin created his private garden with a vision of many garden rooms with different characters.  Christina will guide you through the orchards, the renaissance garden, the Japanese and oriental garden and the new plantings and the lovely glasshouses. Lunch will be served in the Old Villa Abelin.

During the afternoon we will drive along the beautiful “Italian Road” and stop at some farm shops in the countryside before going to a lovely private garden. Coffee/homemade cakes before going back to the hotel. Dinner and leisure.

Day 3

After breakfast we will go with our bus along a glittering Öresund to Sofiero Castle & Garden. Sofiero Garden has been awarded the most beautiful garden in Europe. It was once created by Crown Princess Margaret (1882-1920), married to the Swedish Prince Gustav, later King of Sweden. Princess Margaret was the grandchild of Queen Victoria and was raised at Bagshot Castle in England. She grew up to love gardening and flowers as a child and when she came to Sweden, she created an English garden on the large forest estate outside Helsingborg. Today you will find walled rooms with broad flower borders, rose borders, orchards and kitchen gardens and steep ravines with woodland walks all the way down to the sea. You will have a guided tour at Sofiero, a picknick lunch and a final with some lovely fragrant flowers in the King´s old wine house before leaving Sofiero.

Afternoon visit at private garden of Axelvold Manor where you find a beautiful park and lots of roses, both in a formal garden and in free plantations. Dinner and leisure in the evening.

After breakfast you will check-out from your hotel in Helsingborg and go with our bus and the electric ferries across Öresund to Denmark. We will go to the village Hilleröd for visit Esther´s Have in her charming garden in the Danish countryside. Provence and Mediterranean plants have inspired Esther when building her 38 000m2 large garden. Hundreds of lavenders are planted in rows in the sloping garden. Trees, bushes and a flower garden and most of all Esther herself, guiding and singing and serving us coffee & homemade cakes makes this a very charming and personal visit. We will have lunch in a local pub before going south to Langeland and Humble Inn where we will stay for two nights. Dinner at hotel (not included).
